Competition classes are at Douglas County Fairgrounds

Competition PREP   $125 Per Dog       Tuesday NOON    

This class is for dogs that have had more than a basic introduction to agility and are ready to prepare for competition agility.  Dog/handler must be able to sequence 15 obstacles without much difficulty,  be able to do all obstacles at full height and must have good obedience skill.  Dogs MUST be able to complete 6 weave poles with  channel set narrower than shoulder width.  Dog/handler should be looking to compete in 6 months or less.

This class will focus on sequencing, contact work, speed & confidence in weaves,  jumping and basic competition agility preparing the dog/handler to successfully compete at the novice level. 

Prerequisites:  Dog must be non-aggressive and in good health. Beginning or basic agility skills required.  Must be familiar with and able to complete all agility obstacles without use of leash.    Desire to train and work on assignments between sessions.  

 

Competition Class I & II       $125 Per Dog       Tuesday 10:00 AM and 11 AM  

For  competitors  who want to improve on their competitive agility skills. This course will enable the handler  to improve a variety of skills including building speed and motivation, crosses and tight turns.   Class will include emphasis on handlers foot work, turns, contacts, speed, crosses and all skills necessary to compete in agility.

Prerequisites:  Dog must be non-aggressive and in good health. Dog must be currently competing in excellent or advanced agility levels.  Desire to train and work on assignments between sessions.  

 Competition Class III   $125 Per Dog       Tuesday 1PM     

For the very serious competitors  who want to improve and reach even higher agility skills. This course will enable the handler  to improve a variety of difficult skills as well as fine tuning the basics.   Class will include emphasis on handlers foot work, turns, contacts, crosses and all skills necessary to compete in agility at the highest level.  This class is for the highly motivated dog/handler that already has speed and good basic skills but wants to work on doing it bigger, better, faster.  Missed classes cannot be sold or traded without prior permission by the coach.  

Prerequisites:  Dog must be non-aggressive and in good health. Dog must currently be competing at the Excellent/Masters level & be evaluated by instructor prior to admittance.

 

BELOW CLASSES ARE OUTDOORS ON GRASS IN CENTENNIAL COLORADO

 

 Introduction  $125 per dog/ 5 weeks              NEXT SESSION SPRING 2010

This 5 week session is for any dog/handler who wants to have the basic introduction to agility.  This course will provide a safe introduction to all of the agility equipment used in competition.  We will emphasize on the handler keeping the dog’s attention.  We will prepare the foundation to continue as a team to enjoy competition agility.   This class will be held outdoors on grass in Centennial, Colorado.  Email for more information and address.  Dogs MUST have completed basic obedience and understand sit, stay, come and on leash healing.

Prerequisites:  Dog must be non-aggressive and in good health. Dogs must be at least 6 months of age.  . A good recall is desirable. Desire to train and work on assignments between sessions as there will be homework assignments.  Basic obedience required.

 

Beginner Classes   $125 Per Dog/ 5 weeks            NEXT SESSION SPRING 2010

This 5 week class is for dogs that have had a basic introduction to agility.  Dog/handler must have experience on the various forms of agility equipment at low or regular heights and must have basic off leash obedience skill.

This class will focus on sequencing, contact work, speed & confidence in weaves,  jumping and basic competition agility working toward making  the dog/handler  successfully compete at the novice level.   Dogs should be able to work off leash and have good recall command.

Prerequisites:  Dog must be non-aggressive and in good health. Basic introduction to agility skills required.  Must be familiar with and able to complete all agility obstacles without use of leash.    Desire to train and work on assignments between sessions.

  CLASS LOCATIONS

Competition classes and drop in are held in the indoor arena at Douglas County Fairgrounds, Castle Rock, Colorado.  I-25 Plum Creek Exit.  East to Fairgrounds Road then left into the fairgrounds complex.

Private lessons, Introduction classes & some beginner classes, unless otherwise arranged, are held at 8866 E Easter Ave in Centennial, CO.     I-25 to Dry Creek, West on Dry Creek to Yosemite, North on Yosemite to Davies, West on Davies to Easter Ave
